September 6, 2021 –
Award-winning singer-songwriter Shanna in a Dress brings her Summer 2021 cross-country bike tour to Lawrence with a Labor Day performance at the One Broadway Collaborative (1 Broadway, Unit 11C), Monday September 6th at 7:00 pm. Shanna's “Tour de Dress” started in Seattle July 4th and has traversed the country with concerts at festivals, performance arts centers, fan-hosted house shows, and unique one-off pop-up performances.
This summer also marks the release of Shanna’s full-length debut album Robot. Recorded at Cinder Sound Studio in Longmont, Colorado and produced by acclaimed CO musician Megan Burtt, Robot features nine Shanna originals ranging from how men doing chores is sexy (Mmm, That’s Hot) to the heartbreakingly vulnerable Daddy’s Little Girl. Robot will be publicly available on streaming platforms November 9 and will be sold in hardcopy at concerts throughout the summer bike tour.
Shanna's "Tour de Dress" benefits the Pangaea World Foundation (www.pangaeaworldfoundation.org), a Denver-based 501(c) organization whose core mission is to accelerate the rescue of people, animals, and the environment by eliminating exploitation in our supply chains. Shanna's aim is to increase awareness of Pangaea's No Harm Certification Program as she traverses the country.
Shanna's ride for the tour was custom-designed by Sojourn Cyclery (www.sojourn-cyclery.com) and RainSong Graphite Guitars (www.rainsong.com) is providing Shanna with a carbon fiber parlor-sized guitar. The bike and guitar will both be auctioned off at the end of the tour to benefit the Pangaea World Foundation.
